v0.19.0

This release implements #77, #78, #79, and #80.

Added
  • Typed multipart client operations expose request-local filename overrides,
including builder setters and response variants. Overrides use OpenAPI wire
names and support both byte and conservative string binary mappings.
  • Generated clients retain every supported successful response representation.
Additive methods expose alternate JSON/text/binary bodies, live binary chunks,
and raw or parsed SSE without replacing existing preferred methods or the
configured SSE reconnection transport. Different schemas at different success
    statuses receive explicit status-specific methods.
  • OpenAPI Overlay 1.1 preprocessing supports ordered RFC 9535 JSONPath
updates, copies, and removals. Configure generator.overlays or repeat
    --overlay; optional effective_spec/--effective-spec materializes the
transformed document and participates in --check and --dry-run.
  • Optional versioned bindings.json describes emitted model and HTTP-client
symbols, exact signatures, source operation locations, and response modes.
Enable generator.bindings_metadata or --bindings-metadata. The additive
library API generate_all_with_bindings returns output and metadata while
retaining the existing GenerationResult shape. Initial metadata coverage
rejects dedicated configured streaming, server, and registry generation.
Fixed
  • Effective-document validation and generated default server URLs now run after
schema extensions and overlays, so preprocessing and generation agree.
  • Alternate JSON response schemas remain reachable when models are pruned.
  • Client method, argument, builder, and transport-variant names share allocation,
including collisions involving body parameters and filename overrides.
Breaking changes
Library API
  • GeneratorConfig, configuration generator sections, SchemaAnalysis, and
OperationResponse gained public fields for preprocessing, metadata, source
locations, and complete response representations. Downstream exhaustive struct
literals must include those fields. Prefer default-based configuration and
    construct analyses with SchemaAnalyzer.
Install or upgrade
cargo install openapi-to-rust --version 0.19.0 --locked --force
