Beads

A shared, cross-project development tracker using Beads (bd).

This repository is the Git remote for the Beads Dolt database. Issue history is synchronized separately from normal Git branches under refs/dolt/data.

Enter the development shell

Install Nix with flakes enabled, clone this repository, and enter its pinned shell. It provides Beads 1.0.3 from Nixpkgs and Dolt 2.2.0:

git clone ssh://forgejo@nidaros.secure.martials.no/Personal/beads.git
cd beads
nix develop
bd version
dolt version

Sync from another machine

Enter the development shell, then bootstrap the Beads database:

nix develop
bd bootstrap
bd list

Daily sync

Pull before starting work, then push changes when done:

bd dolt pull
bd ready

# Create/update/close issues with bd...

bd dolt push

Commit pending Dolt changes before pulling if needed:

bd dolt commit
bd dolt pull

Visibility

This repository is public. Issue titles, descriptions, comments, and other Beads data pushed here are publicly readable. Do not store secrets or sensitive information in issues.
